How Do You Put Videos On A Psp?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It depends on what kinds of videos you want to put on your PSP. If you want to have access to some of your DVD collection on your memory stick, you will need a program like DVDRipperPlatinum to convert the DVD to a video format the PSP will read.

If you want to watch videos you have downloaded from the internet onto your PSP, then you will want a program called 'PSPVideo9', this is a powerful video conversion tool that will allow you to change your video content to a format the PSP will read... It has a bit of a learning curve, but there are many places online where people can help you learn how to configure it for your personal use, and once it is set up, you can use the same settings from then on to convert hundreds of videos on your computer, then simply copy them to your PSP's memory stick when you want to take some of them on the road with you.

If you already HAVE video that you know is already in the right format for your PSP, you will either need to put them in the folder called 'VIDEO' on your PSP (or create the folder - yes, all in caps - if it's not there already), or put them in the folder MP_ROOT100MNV01, then see if they will read. If neither place will allow you to play the video, you most likely either have too old a firmware version, or the video is not, in fact, transcoded to a format the PSP will recognize.

I hope this helps in some small way, and you have a good day.
