The more you enter, the more you increase your chances. However, when I have the time I like to decorate my postcards, sometimes with pictures of the prizes I am entering for and sometimes with personalised designs that may fit the question, product or reason behind the competition. If there is the opportunity for more than one entry to a competition, such as is very often the case in tie-breaker contests, then I always enter as many times as I possibly can. Also, go for competitions where the entries are likely to be lower, this is the case if an element of skill is required, for example tie-breaker, slogan, design, story, real-life experience etc. Local newspapers and radio stations often have few entrants and radio stations very often offer fabulous and quite extravagant prizes as the promoters are receiving free advertising out of the competition. Vary your entries to include print media, postcard entry, plain paper entry, telephone, text and e-mail. This keeps things interesting for you.
