The types of qualities that actors need (which are not drama qualities) are things like a good personal character, resilience, professionalism, commitment, dedication and a spirit for not giving up because it is not a glamorous professional until very far up and then it is rarely as it might seem to be.

Resilience is one of the most important qualities. It means being able to take the knocks, to put up with difficult situations, circumstances and people without letting it put you off the craft of acting. Taking the rejection is something that all good actors must learn how to cope with, the earlier they learn it, the less damage it will do to them.

Of course, just being a good professional is very important, a good team mate, someone who can be relied upon, someone who can be left alone to work, someone with the self discipline to complete the task at hand.
