    The name Pascal comes from the Latin and means "Easter-Child". The name is pronounced as pahs-KALL. Though the name is Latin it is derived from the religious feast of "Passover" as written in the Hebrew. It is the equivalent of the Christian Easter celebrations. The name is found used in most European cultures, while it is Pascal in English, it is Pasquale in Italian, Pascual in Spanish and Pascal in French.

    Pascal is also a noun that is a unit of pressure which equals one Newton on each square meter. Pascal is also a high level computer programming language. It is used in applications, teaching and systems programming. The word is derived from the name of Blaise Pascal. Pascal was a French physicists, mathematician and religious philosopher.
