Can I Wear A Tampon With Herpes Sores?
I just found out I have herpes two days ago now I have my period and I'm taking my kids to a water park so now I need to wear a tampon but the sores are still visible and hurt?

The herpes sores are due to HPV virus called herpes simplex 2. If you have sore developed and got your periods then there is no harm to wear tampon. Now you have to go for vaginal pap smear test after every six months.

Ok sorry to the last person that answered this question but what the hell are you talking about? Hsv-2 is NOT hpv they are completely separate viruses yes you can wear a tampon with herpes if the sores are located outside its better that way evey since it keeps the area cleaner if the sores are internal make sure that you change it often to avoid irritation and farther spreading...however im not so sure a water park is the best idea when you have open sores as you are extremely contagious at that point from the shedding of the virus
