The World of Shannara is not a part of any of the trilogies written by Terry Brooks. It is the title of the book that accompanies the best selling books of the Shannara series. It is basically a book that contains information about the subjects mentioned in the Shannara series.
The book is updated until The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara trilogy, which was written between the year 2000 and the year 2002. It does not include The High Druid of Shannara Trilogy, which was written between the year 2003 and the year 2005. The World of Shannara released in the year 2001.
The book contains the Ohmsford family tree, a map of the Four Lands and information about each of the characters, including details of what happened to certain characters when the books ended.
