How Are Math Skills Used In Food Service?

You will need to know how to break down a recipe.
So, if you are making a cake and you want to make 2 cakes, you can add
the ingredients together and mix it only one time.  It saves time and your energy.

Say you have a commercial recipe and you want to make half the amount,
you will need to break it down to half of the original.  

It is fun and really not that hard.  Don;t shy away because of the
math skills.  Once you learn it, you can do it over and over...the same math
problem comes up over and over and you learn to do it automatically.
