Replace or repair the broken motor/mechanism that holds and operates the window. You need to tell us what is wrong with the window and what kind of car/vehicle it is in order to give more direct information. I would also suggest getting a haynes manual for your vehicle. It will give you basic information on how to do all kinds of repairs on your vehicle.

To replace? Easiest and only way that wont void warranty is speedy glass or maybe a dealership if its a small crack speedy glass can repair it without a replacement but if you are on your own the panel on the drivers door needs to come off and everything else beside the window, and since it will be different depending on what you drive you are on your own for the rest..
