I'd Really Like To Create Oriental Interior Design Within My Home. What Can You Suggest?

The oriental look has been popular for a long time, with the influences of South-East Asia permeating our culture through fashion, media and music.
It will depend on what you want to create in terms of atmosphere. The oriental scheme can be both vibrant or modest. For example, for a chinese inspired theme, a deep red coloured room filled with black carved furniture and soft lighting (such as candles and low level lamps) would work well. By adding touches of oriental suggestion, such as orchid flowers, some oriental art and perhaps some sculptures you can finish the room effectively.
If you want a more subtle look which reflects the simplicity of the oriental lifestyle, you could go for a neutral colour scheme based on some earthy browns and light beige tones. Furnish with contrast - so for a room with beige walls buy simplistic brown furniture, perhaps made from natural materials. Look for natural grass carpets and mats which could be offset with simple white blinds. The addition of colourful flowers in this neutral foreground will liven the room. You should keep an eye out for furnishings which suggest the oriental in a subtle way (no huge chinese symbols or big dragons).
If you aren't sure about what you want, and maybe not confident that you can create the effect you have visualised you should contact an interior designer - they will guide you within your budget and help to lay out features.

For a 12 year old, you may think that I'm not serious but, because I'm an Asian,I'm proud of it so... try using the colors black, green, brown, red, and white these are the oriental colors. Try to place wooden ornaments to give it a "foresty" look and place lots of ornamental plants. for the Japanese like thing... try straight ornaments.
