What Are The Six Simple Machines?

    The six simple machines are lever, pulley, wedge, inclined plane, wheel and axle and screw. Pulley is used to move or lift material from lower level to higher level with a help of a movable pulley and rope. A lever is a rod which is used to move heavy loads. A screw is used to hold two or more things together. A wheel with an axle is used to move material and also helps in lifting heavy loads. A wedge is a simple machine which has a sharp edge which helps in cutting. An inclined plane is a surface which is inclined or higher from one side and lower from other side. Moreover, an inclined plane is used in lifting up heavy materials.
