How Do You Make A Relationship Work?

5 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Very simple,  communication, trust, honesty, respect, loyalty, sexual passion or wild sex (whatever) be yourself and accept the other as they are. As simple as it can be, it seems alot of people either make it difficult or have to work hard at it. But life's not easy, and s...t happens so u have to take it all into consideration. Main thing, in my opinion is always  talk, always communicate and there is nothing that cannot be worked out. Good luck

Making any relationship actually work would involve quality time, commitment and trust. Open and (more importantly) honest communication is crucial. Listen to what he/she sincerely has to say. Don't let resentment, anger or hurt feelings build up. These can poison your relationship.

Making your relationship work implies a life-long commitment. You work at it everyday. Security and comfort are key factors in a loving relationship. Everyone needs to give in addition to receive love. Love comes with time, patience and growing together.

If prone to conflict, simply pick your battles. No single person is perfect. Sometimes you have just got to settle on where to draw the line. Decide what's acceptable as well as what you simply can't accept. These guidelines need to be set and cleared early in your relationship. Bear in mind that each and every relationship around you is different so it's not fair to compare your relationship.

To make a relationship work you need something to build on ' a platform". I know that to make a strong healthy relationship you need to let it have space to grow on and a centre that has a topic of life.

A good relationship is one where you trust, respect and communicate openly with each other.
Obviously relationships mean different things to different people.
A good relationship wouldn't be one where hurt, jealousy, resentment and control were present.

Mutual respect and caring are very important. In any relationship individuals will have differences but if they can be resolved through compromise and not argument this makes for a much better relationship.
If you are kind, open and honest and never take a partner for granted hopefully they will return your care and the relationship  will work very well.

Trust is one of the most important factors of building a steady long term relationship. If there's no trust there's no sense of security between the both of you. You must be able to freely talk about each others problem and concerns and general be there for each other no matter what. Being yourself is what keeps it going. Always be honest let him no you love him.
