It's all personal preference.
There is a whole community of fat/hairy gay men, called bears for somewhat obvious reasons. (I'm one of them. Booga booga.) We get our share of interest, for sure.
To answer your question more directly: Some of them do, while others prefer skinnier dudes.
You might as well ask "Do Fat Women ever get dates?" - The answer is yes, they get dates with people who like fat women :D
