No, birds can't wear shoes. They wouldn't be comfortable and it would hamper there flying. Why don't you add wood chips litter to the bottom of the cage.

No, you can't put shoes on a bird! If you are having trouble with the poo on the bottom of the cage, then I would suggest that you clean the paper out of the cage daily, and give it fresh paper. I wouldn't use litter or wood, as they might try to eat it, and then you would have a very sick bird on your hands. This would be the best way to fix the poo problem. Hope this helps, good luck.

Birds can wear shoes and you don't even have to buy them.  You may have all the materials needed for bird shoes in your own home.  You will need a candle that is at least 2 inches wide, a two 2-inch lengths of thin twine, rubbergrip style scrubbing cloth, and krazy glue.  Melt a generous pool of the candle wax.  You will place the bird's feet into the wax to form the mold of the shoes.  Allow the wax to dry around the feet, then cut out the areas surrounding them.  Use the twine to form two bows around the ankles of the bird.  Finally cut out squares of the scrubbing cloth to match the width of the wax mold.  Use the krazy glue to apply the cloth pieces to the bottoms of the molds to be used for the soles, and you have one happy, stylish bird that doesn't have to worry about getting poo on his feat.

For any bird to cling to shoes imply no more joy in the skies as shoes are not their sort of thing.
