My Male Cat Is Puking And Having Trouble Urinating. What Is It?
My 5 yr. Male cat has been puking and now is having trouble urinating. He's been peeing around the house, little drops, but hasn't used his litter box. He sits for a while to try to pee and when he gets up, it's just drops.

A male cat that is not urinating or having trouble urinating is called a "blocked cat." This is when the lower urinary tract, more specifically the urethra, is blocked by a mucous plug or bladder stone. This is a life threatening emergency have your cat seen immediately. This can be the result of FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease), a problem in male cats that can be related to stress, they can develop infections and become blocked.
Your cat will need to be anesthetized and catheterized--both intravenously and a urinary catheter. He will be hospitalized with his urinary catheter and on intravenous fluids for at least one night.

My cat had the same problem. Was years ago, dunno the name of it. But you really need to take them to the vet and you'll get some meds for them. Vet said I was lucky I bought mine when I did. He nearly died. :(

Thanks for the advice. I did take him to the vet and she said he does have FLUTD. They put him on an antibiotic and pain meds. I need to follow up with urinalysis and blood tests due to the fact that they found a nodule on his thyroid, as well. Separate problem. Hopefully, he'll feel better in a couple of days. Thank you :)
Try taking it to the vet it sounds like a urinary track infection or some type of infection vet asap
