My home was declared uninhabitable by the fire department the day of the fire, does the landlord have to have the property inspected prior to me being able to rein habit the house? |
| After a fire due to faulty applicance which caused major smoke damage to my home, the fire dept declared the home uninhabitable. They fire dept also requuested that the gas utiltily be turned off untill further inspection. Is my lanlord required by law to have the home reinspected and gas turned back on prior to me reoccuping home.
If asbestos and mold are disovered during inspection, by restoration company is lanlord required to notify government agency , local health and housing dept? And is he required to have it reinspected by city or county health agency and building inspectors? |
