    My Mom Cough Everyday But Not Repeatedly Just Once Or Twice Ever Since When I Was Little, What Could It Be?

    I have pretty bad feeling it's not normal for a person to cough everyday, I just can't tell if there is something wrong with my mom, she coughs only once or twice but not repeatedly, it's everyday! Now I'm old and I'm still seeing her cough, is really doubting, one day I told her to go a doctor but she insist.. I don't know what to do anymore. But to ask some advice outside and in here on the internet. Is really concern bout my mom's health..ALL I NID IS SOME 'GO' SIGN 2 FORCED HER ON GOING TO THE HOSPITAL.

    If she is having only cough but not frequent and no other problem like fever and sputum then reason of this occasional cough can be allergy. You have to note when she cough, what food or use of any material trigger her cough. If the conditions of her room are dry then it night cause irritation in throat leading to cough. If her coughing episode last for 2-3 minutes then you should visit a doctor.

      I would say it is normal for some, to clear the throat, if she has this at certain times of day, or in certain rooms, I would look for triggers, a dry room or dusty room, I would look into that before running to the doctor, if she is a smoker and or has a persistent cough I would worry more.

      This could also possibly be bronchitis. I have that, and do cough when I have a sign of it.
