What Is Glasgow's Rugby Team Called?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Glasgow is home to their professional Rugby team which goes by the name of 'The Glasgow Warriors'. The Glasgow Warriors are a part of the Celtic league in which teams from Wales, Ireland and Scotland can participate. Earlier the Glasgow Warriors were known as the 'Glasgow Caledonian'. After that the team was just known as 'Glasgow Rugby'. They decided upon the name Glasgow Warriors only at the start of the 2005-2006 season.  The most notable players of the Glasgow Warriors are Dan Parks, Rory Lamont, Jon Petrie, Andrew Henderson, Donnie Mcfadyen and Scott Lawson.

Previously Firhil stadium was the home to the Glasgow team, but following a disagreement with the owners the Glasgow Warriors moved to Patrick Thistle Park. The new season for the Glasgow warriors has proved to be very dismal as they are not shining as much as they did in  the pre-season matches.
