A PAP smear is abbreviation for a Papanicolao smear, which is a cellular smear, and in gynecology is taken from the cervix to assess / to detect premalignant and/or malignant cell growth to determine cervical cancer and now some strains of HPV (human pappiloi virus) --which can lead to cervical cancer.

The PAP smear does not test for or detect STDs such as HIV, herpes, ghonorrea, syphilis, etc.., so independent tests for common STDs should be conducted separately.

No, not automatically. You can always ask for further tests if you suggest you may have something, then all the samples can be taken at the same time.
