Cats can go into heat and become pregnant while they are nursing kittens. Cats nurse kittens until 6-8 weeks of age. It is not good for cats to become pregnant while nursing. It would be best to wait several heat cycles to breed so your cat is not having more than 2 litters per year. Pregnancy and lactation are hard on the body.
