    Beets are very nutritious. They contain a large number of
    nutrients like folic acid, manganese, potassium, vitamin B6 and magnesium. It is also rich in fiber which helps regulate bowel movements. It also regulates cholesterol and blood pressure. Folic acid is responsible for development of blood cells and muscle tissue. Vitamin B6 aids digestion and assimilation of food.

    Beets are especially good for you if you have a liver disease. Besides that, studies also show beets to possess a cancer fighting substance in them known as betacyanin (which by the way is also the pigment responsible for its color).  
    Beet greens are also very rich in Calcium which is important for the growth and development of teeth and bones.
    Beet roots have been long used to help patients with leukemia and are also known to help gout patients.
