Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It was the Prince of Wales who invited the two most exciting arch rivals in the cricket world, Pakistan and India to be at loggerheads with each other.  Both of the teams have accepted the invitation of playing against each other in Glasgow on the 3rd of July.  The Prince of Wales had given his invitation in order to commemorate the 60th anniversary of independence of both Pakistan and India marking from their respective days of independence dating back to 14th August 1947 (for Pakistan) and 15th August 1947 (for India).

The match is also expected to generate over 2.5 million pounds for the purpose of various charities both in United Kingdom and in the subcontinent.  The single match would be termed as the Friendship Cup as christened by the Prince of Wales.  The British Asian Trust would be the ones responsible for organizing the match and about 5000 tickets would be provided for sale through the aegis of online ballots.
