Toluene is an organic compound and it is also known as methyl benzene. The chemical formula for toluene is C7H8 or C6H5CH3. The molar mass of toluene is 92.14 grams per mole. It is a colorless liquid. There are seven atoms of carbon and 8 atoms of hydrogen present in a molecule of toluene. Covalent bonds are present between carbon-carbon atoms and carbon-hydrogen atoms in a toluene molecule. In the ring of toluene, double and single covalent bonds are present alternately.
