When Water At 0 Degrees Freezes Is Heat Lost Or Gained?

    Water both melts and freezes at zero, depending on the outside temperature, surrounding.  Like outdoors, it begins to melt at zero, but if you have windchill...if sunny, retains heat, so I guess when it freezes, it is heat loss

      Actually water freezes at 32 degrees F.,but if you are talking about 0 Degrees C. Then the water has reached its freezing point.And heat or thermal energy is decreased.
