Where Can A Single Mom With 2 Kids Go For An Inexpensive Getaway?

You can have a great time camping. The ages of the children matter little when camping other than they might be more help to you if they are teens or near teens.  Tent camping is inexpensive...the cost of a tent, food can be cooked over a campfire or on  a grill, the camping site can include water and electricity so that you can take fans, TV, curling irons/hair dryers etc.  Or whatever you think is necessary. Bathroom and shower facilities are generally clean and easily accessible.   The campsite rental is much, much  cheaper than a hotel.  The children can take their bikes, their dog, their skates, whatever they think they "can't live without."  Most area camps have hiking or biking trails.  Many offer horse back riding, boat rental for nominal fee, fishing, swimming  etc.  Don't forget your bug spray and sun tan lotion...have a wonderful time.
