In What Profession Was James A. Michener Before He Took Up Write?

               James A. Michener was serving a lieutenant Commander in the Navy of the US and the assignment he took while being on the post was South Pacific Ocean. He also took notes of the real situation and his work 'Tales of South Pacific' for which he was awarded Pulitzer Prize in the year 1948, was based on the notes that he made while serving on the assignment. A musical film was also being made on the book and was titled as South Pacific'.

               While being as professional writer, he had also taken the post of a roving editor for the publication called Reader's Guide and continued on the post till the year 1970. After giving up his that post, he wrote some of the prodigious books that include Texas also that has approximately 1,500 pages and gives detail explanation about the how Texas became a part of the United States.
