What Is The Different Between Hindu And Buddhist?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In basics, the only real difference is the belief in a deity, Brahman.  Hinduism is pantheistic and monotheistic in that all things are of Brahman.  The Buddha sought to find the way to end suffering, and he did not involve the belief in a deity in that search.  Buddhism in its basic form does not address any deity. Now, there are about 20 sects of Buddhism so this isn't true for all; you can learn about the different kinds at www.buddhanet.net

Hinduism is also very old and complex, and there are different beliefs within it as well.  I can only give you www.religioustolerance.org for that though.
