How Did Women Help In World War II?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

They did many things such as the so-called Tea Brigade, who made cups of tea. In the war in the Pacific, the returning soldiers often carried sacks of young turtles (babies) and the women used their know-how to tell the men to fricassee them, as it was becoming a popular method of cooking. They also did some shooting and stuff.

They took their husband's places by doing their jobs as men went off to war. They were bus drivers, police officers, helped in offices, and in factories. Without woman the economy would have been terrible!
