Simon Bolivar was a general who fought for the independence of many Latin countries, and was influential in the independence of many others. His dream was that one day America (the continent) would be united as one great nation with no borders or divisions. He was so influential in Latin America that a nation was named after him (Bolivia), and still today nation leaders reflect back to the great Simon Bolivar.
