The CAT as a test has gained much more importance over the past few years and the growing numbers applying for it every year prove the fact. Also owing to tremendous rise in the number of MBA aspirants, it has also become very competitive indeed. Students have started preparing ridiculously in advance, sometimes one or two years before actually taking the exams. Preparation for the CAT has evolved into a full time job and definitely deserves that much devotion fro the students.

On an average, seven months of only preparing for the CAT should suffice. Meaning, if you are appearing for the CAT in November, you should start preparing by the month of May. However, remember that seven months of study means full time preparation, otherwise it may prove less.
