    Ferry Bridge is a small village that is situated on the A1 highway. It is located in West Yorkshire in England lies beside the River of Aire. Ferrybridge goes back in time till the establishment of Anglo-Saxon settlements along the stretch of the River of Aire.

    The historic settlements of Ferrybridge and Knottingley are very closely connected to each other as both of them have passed the test of time from the Anglo Saxon period. They both have another thing in common; they both indulge in the same economic trade. Ship building, Brewing, Glassmaking and Potteries are some of the common industries that both the villages indulge in. In the 20th century a set of 3 power stations were built in Ferrybridge. The latest power station that was built in Ferrybridge it was named as the Ferrybridge 'C'.
