If I Format The Pc And Set An Upgraded O/s, Will I Get A Different Ip Address?

Answer Question

Yes, and you don't even have to upgrade the operating system! Windows uses a protocol called Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and TCP/IP. DHCP automatically gets an IP address every time you go on the internet. It leaves that address active until you leave. When you go back on, DHCP gets another address for you. Using DHCP doesn't require you to get the address, it does that automatically. All you have to do is to make sure that DHCP is active when you do your Network Configuration during the upgrade installation.
