How Can I Use Divisibility Rules For Numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 9 And 10 To Find Factor Pairs For 80?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

1 - any number is divisible by 1, so 1*80 is a factor pair
2 - 80 ends in 0, so it is divisible by 2, and 2*40 is a factor pair
3 - the sum of digits 8+0=8 is not divisible by 3, so 3 is not part of a factor pair.
    4 - (see 2) 40 ends in 0, so 4*20 is a factor pair
5 - 80 ends in 0, so it is divisible by 5, and 5*16 is a factor pair
6 - (see 3) 80 is even but is not divisible by 3, so 6 is not part of a factor pair.
9 - (see 3) the sum of digits is not 9 or 0, so 80 is not divisible by 9.

    1*80 = 2*40 = 4*20 = 5*16 = 8*10 = 80
