Sharing Printer: Sharing of printer is just as simple as the file sharing is, first of all you must have to confirm that the computers to which you want to share the printer must belong to the same workgroup, if they don't belong to the same workgroup that could create some problems.
Now the procedure for sharing a printer I assume you are using windows XP click on the start button select "Printer and Faxes" a new window will get open any printer or fax installed in your computer will be displayed over there now select the printer you want to share right click the printer and select "Sharing" option a new window will get open with some tabs by default the sharing tab is selected there will be two radio button "don't share this printer" and the second option will be "share this printer" check the option of share this printer and give your desired sharing name to the printer which will be shown to all the computers to which you want to share the printer apply these settings and close the windows.
If you want to make sure that whether your printer is shared or not there is a very simple method for it open any word document click on the "File" menu and click the print option then click the "Find Printer" button and click on "Find Now" option a list of printer will be displayed that are being shared search for your printer.
