Walter Cronkite was the epitome of decent, objective journalism/newscasting. In those days (@ 1937-1981, the span of his professional career), television news broadcasts were pretty much just that - news broadcasts. They weren't like some of today's more diluted, biased, and entertainment-oriented news broadcasts. Since his retirement, he has been greatly missed. "And that's the way it is!"
