Who Is Daniel Hopsicker?

Daniel Hopsicker is a freelance investigative journalist who has written extensively about covert operations of the American government. In recent years, he has focused on investigating the activities of Mohammed Atta, whom the U.S. government claimed was the ringleader of the September 11th attacks. In particular, Hopsicker closely looked into Atta's residence in Florida, where he attended flight school, examining relevant local news stories and interviewing those who had come into contact with him.

Hopsicker found that, in contrast to the public image of an Islamic fundamentalist, Atta enjoyed drinking vodka, eating pizzas with all toppings (including pork!), and taking cocaine. He even came across an American girl, Amanda Keller, who had lived with Atta and been his lover. Keller had pink hair, and had done work as a stripper and lingerie model, so was not exactly the kind of woman with whom Islamic fundamentalists are usually expected to consort.
