Why Dosn't Aluminium React With Cold Acid?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Aluminium reacts with acid to form salts. The reaction will only be slowed down due to the strong Aluminium Oxide layer formed due to Aluminium's reactivity with the surrounding air. I wouldn't suppose no reaction. It should only have no reaction with cold water, since even more oxide will be added to the layer.
