What Is The Role Of Word Charts In The Presentations?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Word charts consist obviously of words rather than figure. One kind of word chart is an agenda chart, or a list of your three to live main points. If you use an agenda chart always show it at the beginning of the presentation whether it is on a flip chart or a slide, the board or even a handout. You may also elect to leave the agenda chart showing throughout your presentation and point to it each time you move to a new section. A main idea or recommendation chat lists your main conclusions. Display it at the beginning of a presentation if your listeners are likely to agree with you and at the end of they are not likely to agree. Other than for you agenda and main ideas use word charts sparingly only when you think you audience would get lost without one.

Avoid overusing word charts in your presentation. One of the worst possible kinds of so called visual aids is a word for word script of your presentation displayed at the same time you say something. They also often cause the problem of allowing the audience to read ahead. Finally they allow your audience to read one idea at the same time they are listening to another.
