Laminating a letter requires a machine which is usually not available at homes and for the purpose you will have to visit a shop that provides the service of laminating documents.
But if you want to perform the task yourself and do not want your letter to be taken to the shop, a method can be suggested. What you will have to do is to take a plastic sheet which is completely transparent. The next step you can take is to spread the sheet at a plain surface and keep a heavy flat object over it. When you feel that the sheet has no wrinkle in it, you should take the letter and keep it on the sheet. Now you can fold the sheet over the letter and with the help of a stapler, you can fix it.
This method is considered better than most of the options because when you laminate it at a shop, the process is non-reversible. So you are advisable to apply the abovementioned method and do not take it to the shop unless necessary.
