What Season Of The Year Would A Horse Need A Blanket?

Answer Question

Most do not put blankets on a horse unless they are showing and do not want a winter coat to form, or if the horse does not have the ability to put on a thick winter coat.

Well it could depend on the breed of horse if it is  m&m they will probably cope without a rug, but if it is a more finer breed of horse e.g Arabians then they would need more rugs, the best season to put a rug on would be winter. Hope this helped xx

For a warm blanket, Winter. But unless your horse is a TB or other breed that doesn't grow a coat, don't blanket unless it's really cold out.
