Who Is Jim Fetzer?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Jim Fetzer is a former professor of philosophy at the University of Minnesota who, in recent years has become better known as a conspiracy theorist. Fetzer was strongly influenced by Oliver Stone's film JFK, which depicted the murder of the president by a conspiratorial cabal in his own government, and became active in JFK conspiracy research.

He has now edited a number of books on the subject, endorsing the theory, which is regarded as fringe even among JFK conspiracy theorists, that the Zapruder film, the famous amateur footage showing the assassination of the president, had been altered or faked by the government in order to advance its agenda, and that Zapruder himself may have been in on the plot.

Fetzer also believes that U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone, who died in a plane crash, in 2002, was assassinated by members of the Bush administration, and that the events of September 11th, 2001, may have been orchestrated by the U.S. government. He co-founded the organisation Scholars for 9/11 Truth which explores conspiracy theories related to September 11th.
