I Am A Pob Student And I Want To Know, What Are The Types Of Production?

There are four main types of production systems which are Job production, batch production, Mass production and Cellular production.

In job production, an individual or a team performs all the tasks on the product to complete it for example Tailors or hairdressers etc. In batch production, the process to complete the product is divided into small set of activities and the product is also divided into batches. When one activity is completed on the entire batch only then can another activity start on the batch and it is like series production. Then in mass production, the process is continuous and highly standardized and it is repeated over and over again like in Assembly lines. Then the last one is ‘cellular Production’ in which various similar functions are grouped in to a cell and the products move from one cell to another. For example the ‘drilling’ function can be grouped together and every type of product that needs drilling will be sent to the drilling cell. The products are given route cards which specify which cell they have to go to the next.

THAT IS WRONG if you are doing an sba or something then the types of production are primary secondary and tertiary some pepole mix this up with the levels of production.

That is correct as it relates to the types of production, the levels of production is not to be mixed up with the types of production. Now, for an SBA, both the type of, and the levels of production will be needed if you are doing the production sector of the SBA
