Kittens can open their eyes between a few days and a few weeks. Don't worry or force openings. Only help if you see signs of any infection or guck. They kind of push themselves around right from the get go as you probably have noticed, but they don't really get walking till they're about 3 weeks, begin running around 4-5 weeks and up the curtains at 5-6. Best thing to do is to worm the mom and the kittens will get protection through her milk. It's ok to worm them with something like Strongid (very small dose 1ml/.5pounds) after 3 weeks. But Be careful. Don't use an over the counter wormer. Get some liquid wormer from a vet or vet supply that's approved for kittens. Strongid is used for human children as well.
