    First convert feet in to inches you will get
    1 feet =12 inches
    14 feet = 12x 14
    = 168 inches

    168 : 8
    Dividing 168 by 8 and 8 by 8 you will get

    21:1 >> answer

    This is wrong, the smaller number always goes first!

    Perhaps you mean that model scale is always represented as model:life. When the scale of the model is less than 1, the smaller number is first. It is possible to build a "larger than life" model, in which case the smaller number would be second.
