Dog Hurts To Have -movement From Eating Chicken Bones. Is There Something I Can Give To Make Her Movement A Lot Softer?
My rat terrier ate about 3 dozen chicken bones that I sat outside for the cats 2 days ago.She was throwing up alot and had stopped that but when she was pooping it hurt her and there was some blood. That seemed to be better but now she can't have a movement it seems.I called the vet and can't get in till Monday and it's Saturday. What can I do to help her? Is there something i can give to make her movement a lot softer?
We all agree... Cooked chicken bones = no-no... But what's done is done.
Libby's Pumpkin Pie Mix (not solid pumpkin) will get things moving through her, and most dogs will readily eat it. But if you suspect that there's an internal puncture (is she in pain when not "going")... Then this is a life threatening situation and you need to find an emergency vet that can help her sooner.
There is nothing to do,dogs are not suppose to have chicken bones for this exact reason they can become lodged in the dogs throat or their intestines.take the dog to the vet Monday.
