Because he used to be black but because if something he toke a load of drugs and turned white.in a short sentence he toke loads of drugs cause he didnt like being black.

In the beginning of his career, he was a medium brown color but it started turning paler in the 1980s. Poor michael had vitiligo and lupus, diseases that made him paler and sensitive to the sun. The treatments and surgeries he used to help his disease, made his skin a lighter color, which of course in tabloid world, had to be a rumor and started a huge rumor that he had bleached his skin.
