St Patrick's Day tradition is the most famous tradition in Ireland. The majority of people are christened as Roman Catholic. People attend the church on this day and wear the shamrock on the breast.

Christmas and Easter are the special times for the Irish People and these days are marked with the number of holy traditions.

Funeral tradition in Ireland is to have a wake house for up to two days before a burial. This wake is to meet with the families and pray for the departed soul.

Ireland is a land filled with great storytellers, musicians and religious fervor.  The Irish love their land, and the center of social life in Ireland is the Pub.  There, stories are shared, tears are wept, songs are shared, and Guiness Stout is the drink of choice.  The art of conversation is cherished in Ireland. And so is the gift of breaking out into song at a moment's notice.  Most of Ireland is Catholic.  The North (Belfast) is Protestant.  Irish are noted for the sense of humor and spontaneous laughter.  They are traditionally noted to love folk music (fiddling) where singing and dancing is deeply rooted part of the culture that goes way back.
