One of the greatest romantic poets of English literature, John Keats was born in the year 29th October, 1796 in Moorfields. He started off as a surgeon apprentice but his literary penchant proved to be more intense than he had imagined. Eventually he gave up the field of medicine to pursue his erudite passion. His area of interest was poetry and even more specifically romantic poetry.

The poet even published three books of poetry, the true worth and value of which was not acknowledged until John Keats' death. His critics regarded him as a middle-class interloper. Nevertheless that innate and acute sense of acknowledging beauty was what led him to compose those wonderful works of art that enunciated the soulful essence of Keats' flair. It was after his death that his works got the recognition that they deserved. He died in the year 1821, leaving behind a legacy to cherish.
