Should Religion Be Taught At Public Schools?

Yep so then people can make their own mind up in what they belief in rather than just following their parents beliefs

No because some people believe in different things and its not rite to discuss another religion with some one who don't believes in a different religion.

Religion, in its conventional meaning, should not be taught in a multi-religious nation,because it creates more hatred than harmony.Like sex and love, it can be automatically learnt as children grow up.However, what is, on a lage consensus,  deemed to be good or bad may be taught to ensure a strong influence on impressionable minds.

I think yes but only as an elective and not in any particular subject and definitely not as science. Maybe in social studies but I wouldn't even like it being taught there. Thats just my opinion.

Religion in general are great for children to learn about with all the religions out there and their differences, but not a "religion specific" class.

Yes of course they should be taught if they are then they will be very confused about other religions when they grow up its all part of learning and they need to know about all the religions
this helps the children respect other religions knowing the similarities and differences between theirs and others religions

If religion is not taught, then neither should there be exposure to such things as, say, sex education. Leave it to the parents.  Because teaching kids about different religious ideologies COULD expose them to MORALS, it isn't allowed. God built this nation, but government kicked Him out in 1962. Instead, our kids are exposed to absolutely godless behaviors which hold NO academic value (and isn't academics the very reason we put our kids in school in the first place?), and are permitted to "express themselves" with, in example, (young men) their pants hanging past their butts (an invite to a homosexual if ever there were one) because "it's a free country" and "free speech"... The latter which is completely absurd, at best.

Take a look back through history; In the 1950s, the biggest problems schools had were kids talking or chewing gum in class. No thought was given to carrying a gun to school.  If a boy brought a knife to school, it was seen as a tool, not a weapon. If there were ever a gun brought into a school, it was on the hip of a police officer.

Since God was kicked out of the public school system in the United States of America, drugs, sex/pregnancy/sexually-transmitted disease and murder have become all too common.

So tell me; why NOT teach religion in schools?  And, "Guest" (3 weeks ago)?  Parents aren't always right, but they are the primary influence in a child's life.  That is God's design.
