Is It Harmful To Give A Cat Children's Tylenol?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

YES. If you gave your cat tylenol you should head to your vet immediately. It is often lethal even in very small doses. Things like that are toxic to our pets period but cat's (more so than dogs) are extremely sensitive to acetamenophin. You should never self prescribe medication to your pet and should always consult your vet. It may be prescribed on occasion after careful consideration by a veterinarian for dog's but cat's metabolize differently and it's lethal in most cases. Call your vet.
