You didn't say if anyone else in the family has the same Asian last name as you but..As for your last name, you can do a geneology search to see where the name origionated from. After the civil war many slaves didn't have a last name so they adopted the last names of either their former owners (if they were good to their slaves) or another person that they may have admired. Its possible that you had an ancestor that adopted the last name of an Asian person... Perhaps an admired employer. If you are the only person in your family with the Asian last name, then is it possible that your (real) father is Asian and your mom gave you his last name. But now is ashamed to tell you the truth? Is it possible that you could have been adopted? Do you have access to your birth certificate? It can reveal a lot of information.

As for the Asian features... There could be a recessive gene WAY back in your ancestory that has never surfaced until you were born. There may very well have been an Asian person in your family many generations ago that nobody now knows about. Perhaps your family isn't talking because they don't know the answer either. Good luck...I hope you get some answers soon.
